Climate Ark is building an open-source app that will provide information about climate change and steps individuals can take to limit their carbon footprint as well as a community discussion forum. TechTeam will help create a page with actions users can take to reduce their carbon footprint. The page will track how much the user has reduced their carbon footprint as they accomplish each goal. Climate Ark is an initiative led by professional developers and project managers and working on this project would be a great opportunity to network and receive mentorship.
As part of this project, members used Flutter to build a frontend architecture that compiles to both Android and iOS (and also Web) and Firebase to create an easy-to-use backend framework.
