TechTeam welcomes UChicago students (undergrad and graduate) of all backgrounds who are interested in developing technical skills, working with nonprofits, and using technology to advance the public good.

There are many ways to get involved throughout the year, so don't be afraid to jump in!

The application form will be released on Monday, October 28th. In the application form, you will indicate your project preferences. Projects range from developing technical deliverables for nonprofits to visualizing and analyzing open data and writing technology policy op-eds. Regardless of your previous experience or majors/degrees, we encourage you to apply to projects you’re interested in — we will also provide skills trainings and workshops as part of our programming. If selected, you will be a member and be required to attend regular meetings on Mondays at the Institute of Politics, from 7-8pm. There will be a required project showcase on Monday, November 30th.

  • Politipalooza tabling will be on Monday, September 28th at the Institute of Politics, from 3:30-5:30pm.

  • Institute of Politics STEM Reception on Monday, October 5 at 5pm.

• Application deadline on Friday, October 9 at 11:59pm. We accept rolling applications, with a preferred deadline of Tuesday, October 6 at 11:59pm.

• You will hear back from us about application decisions by Sunday, October 12th.
