how techteam projects work
1. We find the right clients
We partner with underfunded nonprofits making a meaningful impact, helping them use technology to work more efficiently.
Our client relations team reaches out to potential partners, responds to project requests, and sets clear expectations about what TechTeam can offer as a student organization.
Once there’s a shared understanding, we start building the right team for the project.
2. We build the team & make plans
Screened student leaders at UChicago are matched with projects each quarter, and other students apply based on their interests.
TechTeam provides guidance on tech stacks, tools, and shares code from past projects. Teams also get access to platforms like Sketch and Google Cloud to build high-quality products.
3. We build out the project
Clear communication is key to building something useful. Our portfolio team checks in with development teams, while clients stay engaged to answer questions as they come up.
